About Salt Fork Press

Salt Fork Press is named for the Salt Fork River--a winding, determined stretch of water south of Arkansas City, Kansas, where I was born. It's also the same river my fictional characters Maddy, Nick and Ma must cross on their way to the start of the Oklahoma Land Run of 1889. That crossing, documented in historical accounts, symbolizes the grit and resolve of settlers who pushed forward toward a new life. Salt Fork Press carries that same spirit: resilience, independence, and belief that stories can move us toward something meaningful.
